Gevuurd betekent dat er in de stam een zwam is gekomen die ervoor gezorgd heeft dat het hout meer karakter en tekeningen krijgt. Na het verzagen van de boom sterft de zwam maar de kleurenpracht blijft in het hout. Deze boom was afkomstig uit een tuin in Gits.
